Your captain will settle the harbor procedures while Guletbookers inform you about the cruise program and your gulet, after boarding in Göcek harbor around 4.00 pm. The Göcek bays, coves and islands are the meeting place for yachts of all sizes and styles, yet Göcek has retained an unhurried air, and stayed a relatively small village tucked in between the pine clad hills and the blue sea. We’ll first cruise to Yassicalar Island group, small flat islands linked by sandbars and shallow channels. At one point a beach forms a small pool that children love to splash in. Overnight at Yassicalar Islands.
An early start takes us around the Fethiye Peninsula to the sheltered Gemiler Adasi (Ships Island) in sight of the famous lagoon and open beach of Oludeniz. The Blue lagoon of Oludeniz has calm, crystal-clear waters which make it an ideal place for people to swim. Part of the lagoon area is now protected as a national park.
Around sunrise we have an early departure to cruise along the coast past the spectacular Seven Capes and the long Patara Beach to Firnaz Bay near Kalkan where breakfast and swimming are on the menu. Cruising onwards to Kas ,we will find a charming town founded in the 4th century BC as the Lycian city of Antiphellos, but now only Lycian rock tombs and sarcophagi remain with one in the main street. A Roman amphitheater also remains, sometimes used for summer concerts. With little sand, the diving is excellent in Kas, with a number of dive companies available for guided diving. We move on to over night in a bay in the area of Kekova .
After breakfast cruise over the sunken Lycian to Roman ruins, and see more remains of the past on the shores of the island, a national park area. We move on to ancient Simena or Kaleköy village where the top of the ruined fortress offers a bird’s – eye view of the bays , inlets, islands and of course yachts sailing. The gulet turns back to cruise to Kalkan, a lovely harbor town on a steep slope overlooking a tiny harbor and a magnificent bay.
An early start brings the gulet to the famed Butterfly Valley where many different species of butterfly can be seen sheltering on the steep cliffs of the remarkable valley. After breakfast there we cruise back along the coast to arrive in Fethiye Harbour in the afternoon. Take a stroll in the old part of Fethiye town and do some shopping or try out the town’s original Turkish bath. Overnight in Fethiye.
After we had our breakfast in Fethiye harbor we’ll cruise to Zeytin Ada(Olive Island) is at the southern end of the Yassicalar group islands, named for the olive pressing buildings dating from the Ottoman era. Then we move on to Tersane Island, to enjoy time there for swimming and relaxing.
Our last day of cruising is spent in some beautiful coves, with the first stop at Domuz Island named for the past inhabitants- wild boar. Next stop is Cleopatra Bay or Hamam (Baths) Cove, a favorite stop for all yachts. Right next to the little jetty quay you will see the ruins of a monastery, which is partly under water. The cove is a natural spot to leave the boat for a pleasant walk in the forest. Overnight in Cleopatra Bay.
After the farewell breakfast your gulet cruise ends in Göcek Harbor before 10:00am.
