The small town of Gocek set in a beautiful pine forest on a deep
sheltered bay on the Gulf of Gocek with several well equipped marinas, is one
of the Turkish Mediterrarean's best and favoured sailing spots. Dotted with
islands and indented with many coves, its land and seascapes are irresistible.
Only a short and direct
30km from the international and domestic terminals of Dalaman airport.Gocek offers boutique accommodation, and a small
but lively shopping area for those who stay on land before they set aboard
their gulet charter yacht. A wide range of hotel accommodation, restaurants,
entertainment, technical facilities, travel agencies, communication facilities,
health services and other necessities are available in Gocek to support the
visitor, and almost anything required by the great and small of yachts and boat
charters.
Göcek isn’t just ideal for yachting visitors, it is almost perfect for
gulet cruises! As a port for gulets it offers a wonderful choice of sailing
grounds and routes. A family gulet
holiday in the the Bay of Gocek with its famous twelve islands makes for an
extremely relaxing way to spend the week, touring the beautiful coves and
islands swimming, sunbathing and exploring.
For the adventurous a gulet can cruise east past Fethiye, Gemiler Island
and Ölüdeniz to explore the charms of Kalkan, Kaş and even the fabulous
Kekova. Or a gulet charter can cruise westwards
at a leisurely pace to Ekincik, where arrangements can be made for a riverboat
to explore Dalyan river and mud baths, or sail further to Marmaris and the Gulf
of Hisaronu and return.
